For decades, I spelt my own name wrong,
Missed my kin while gardening dead stone,
Haunted my own growing spirit,
Confusing the ghost with the haunted.

Until I sat with wilderness
In verdant moss near untamable gorse.
Until I stumbled upon my own visions
Buried under heaps of conforming vanities.
Until I talked to Evenfall
And the Dead of the night like a kindred spirit.
